NEW CEO AT MANITOWOC FOODSERVICE

Manitowoc Foodservice has appointed Hubertus M.Muehlhaeuser as its new chief executive officer. Most recently the senior vice president and general manager for EAME at AGCO Corporation, Muehlhaeuser joins the foodservice manufacturer as it approaches a new era.

Kenneth Krueger, a Manitowoc Company board member, described Muehlhaeuser as a dynamic leader with a demonstrated ability to drive strategic performance. “He has established a proven track record of building and empowering teams to achieve enhanced performance,” he said. “Hubertus’s multi-functional expertise, including operational execution, financial acumen, capital markets knowledge and strong channel and brand management, will offer Foodservice business a unique set of skills.”

The announcement comes as the company prepares for the separation of Foodservice from Manitowoc in the first quarter of 2016.
“Hubertus is a strong addition to the Foodservice team. His combination of strategic leadership and operational successes will be imperative as the business looks to capitalise on the significant opportunity ahead of it,” said Glen E. Tellock, chairman and chief executive officer of the Manitowoc Company. “I look forward to working closely with him over the coming months as we transition into two separate, market-leading businesses.”

Muehlhaeuser’s track record also includes a ten-year stint with Arthur D Little, a global management consultant firm where he was a partner and a member of the executive team. He has served as a board member of several privately held businesses.

Muehlhauser will start in his new role on 3 August.
